This will find new homes as part of a Miracle Mile "CUPS" project.
A few of the spice dishes started making their way through...
A few Flower Vases from March were finally pushed through using 2 different white glazes.
This firing took 24 hours. About 12 hours longer than I had thought it would and it just dropping cone 5, (I was shooting for cone 6). But it was a beautiful load! The only pieces that pinholed were the ones that were supposed to. The GhostBlues in this load were brilliant blue.Now time to tear apart the kiln panel again and run the multimeter back through everything. 24 hours is a lot of electricity!

these are beautiful I love the glassy glaze. and the way the slip underneath seams to be ghostly. and yeah 24 hours is a lot of electricity. Hope you are able to rig iyt up to fire a little bit quicker.
Hey- we had the same problem when we tried this- but your results are much better then what we had!
Talk about a long soak cycle!
I don't know enough about how it all works but there seems to be some reasons for how all the electric components work together for heat. ( yea- see what I know-)
But there is also that thing that if you get some thing hot long enough it will mature the glaze and clay body- so even if you don't hit cone 6 by cone you are still getting there by the long firing.
See- I only know enough to be dangerous!

Great results, love the black (is that black or gun metal gray)? it's a beautiful glaze. Your spice cups - does the foot have an interior recess? just curious.

Linda, It's a beautiful deep translucent blue and I do habitually cut an interior recess on all my feet.
