I am using highwater redstone with a b-mix slip and sometimes a porcelain slip. The amber came out super dark even on the slip. Am I putting on enough slip or should the glaze be sprayed or very, very thin? food coloring-smart!
Pretty darn thin is the way to go. A 2 to 3 second dip should do it. You should be able to clearly see the design outline still after pulling it out of the glaze. I tested 2 yunomi with a thick dip and the design was unreadable.
