Tea Time

2 of the teapots that I was working on this winter finally made it through the glaze kiln... finally!

These are small one person pots, (5"h by 7"w from the bottom of the foot to the top of the knob and from the tip of the handle to the opposite belly) holding just over 22 fl oz.

These are rather traditional, although I place the handle quite a bit closer to the spout than normal. These are meant to be poured towards you and the design change has long proven it self to be much easier on my wrists.

The best part is that They Don't Drip! Yes!

THat is some nice work Joel. I just did my first two Kyushu pots this weekend. One left and one right. I like your handle placement better though. Also my handles in green are HUGE I hope they shrink a little. For me they look REALLY assymetrical.

Excellent pots. Really good J.

Also love that they went to cone "whatever it fired to..." LOL you either have to laugh or cry and if the glaze is good, you're golden.

Love the tea pots and thanks for the glaze demo,I do believe we use the amber too heavy. Although we did a great tea dust like green to black on some pots.
