WaterArobics

Ok... so this doesn't look so bad... but if you look close you can see the hand pump by the stairs. Well over 800 gallons of water moved 5 gallons at a time over the course of a week can tire a body out. If you are over 40 and do the math you'll know why I'm feeling it.
Who says potters don't get enough exercise.

I didn't know you had your own personal water reservoir =P

That really sucks though

Thought maybe you were trying to put in an indoor pool!
Sorry, I've been there before... it's even more fun with 4 ft of water in the basement.
Hope you don't wear yourself out too much.

OUCH! I do know your pain and I am so sorry for it all.
I hope the rain is gone and that you are sunny and dry soon.
Bleck!
Things have to get better.
On another note- come to dinner anytime!

oh man, i know where you're coming from... this is the worst type of work, hauling water. the only thing worse is if it's sewage water and it's cold.

Yuck! My basement started taking on water last week also. My sump pump died and I never realized how much that little sucker turned every day.

Yikes. Not good. Though I guess if you got it out before it rose to the level of the kiln, it's better than it might have been. Still ... not good.

Blech. That is a total bummer... on the upside, at least you are capable enough that you didn't have to pay some clean-up guy $80 a hour to do it for you. :)
