This is a short stop motion animation video the kids and I shot last weekend demonstrating the throwing of an "agateware" yunomi. This is a simple process of throwing two contrasting clays together to create a marvelously swirled effect directly in the clay body. I finally got around to pasting together a first draft to share....

Great demonstration video and gorgeous piece. Thanks.
wonderful! such a magical process. you have such a terrific eye and such skilled hands!! i WILL own some of your work one day!!
Very nice yunomi, thanks for sharing.
cool animation... what program do you use to edit it together?
I've just been using my "windows movie maker" to string together a few hundred still snaps that my kids take. I manipulate a folder of images at a time using photoshop's automate > batch function and actions palette to re-size and change contrasts/color/etc... it's not great, but it suits it's function.
Beautiful agateware yunomi and demonstration, thanks so much. I recently found some clay marbles I made five years ago with three different clays and couldn't remember how I made them, your demonstration has refreshed my memory.
Loved watching this! Really fun to watch and the piece turned out beautifully. Thanks for sharing.
