Memory of FireFlies

From conception to finished work, the R&D for "Memory of FireFlies" is a dirty little haiku made of clay.

The round robin view looks good, but I'm stumbling over some of the glaze crawling.

Not sure whether I like it, or I wish I liked it... Guess it's time to set it out where I can see it for a while and see how the character of the piece settles in.

This is a beauty! Try hiding it for a few weeks, rather than having out where you can look at what you think of as not so great. Time away brings a fresh eye and a different perspective.

it's lovely. do you know what caused it?

It can be from any number of things. The Malcolm Davis glaze is touchy. It needs to be fairly thinly applied and well dried just for starters, but from what I'm being told, there is a certain amount of luck involved... unfortunately I don't like to rely on luck.
