Digging through Unposted drafts and found this... Two early collaborations done with Jessica Fong as we were figuring out which way to take our exploration of line.
I don't know who got more out of this exercise, Jessica or me. Looking back, the DaDa brushwork is something light and whimsical.
However unassuming these canisters are, there's absolutely no way either of us would be where we are now with our studio work without either of these two works happening.
Honestly, the canisters look great mixed into a population on kitchen counter-top.

That is lovely! It looks like Chinese cursive calligraphy done on antique silk scrolls by someone on too much meth...but still lovely nonetheless. And I suspect that some of the ancient Chinese poets and artists would have embraced meth quite happily if they'd had it around back then, too.
