I've been wanting a good look at how Forrest pulls this off. He definitely doesn't disappoint with this video. Fantastic!
Visit his website to checkout his gallery of work. Make sure to swing by Forrest's Etsy on the 17th for his holiday sale.
This is a studio potter to watch...
addendum... Ceramics Monthly printed an in depth look at Forrest's process.

oh you kids are showing up the old dogs again- this was fab!
Looks like a piece of mass-produced slipware.
No good.
I much prefer your pots, Zygote!
Yep, I've been wanting to see this too. Pretty amazing. He makes a mean cylinder too!
Love his work! and just the nicest most gracious person! I've seen him work his magic real time and it's pretty cool - you should invite him up your way for a workshop...great vid.
Adam really did a bang-up job with the video. Absolutely love it.
Is the transfer a glaze or underglaze? What kind of paper is used?
He uses an oxide. But there's lots of wiggle room on this technique. Ceramics Monthly printed up an in depth article on Forrest's process back in August. Here's the link.... http://ceramicartsdaily.org/pottery-making-techniques/ceramic-decorating-techniques/volumetric-image-transfer-using-newspaper-and-screenprinted-slip-to-make-gorgeous-patterned-surfaces/
