Fiddler n' Fireflies

One of my "Holy Grails" has always been to jump outside of myself to help create something timeless. (well something that feels timeless, or at least something that's jumped out of time.) In this case it's a jug that was part of the last series of tag team work with my studio partner. I wanted that old crock look, like an old stoneware piece with a motif that feels vaguely familiar, something that just seems like it's always existed, it's just never seen... it's secret.

Moonshine Jugs?

Moonshine is memorable. I'm in an area that's famous for moonshine, ha, Gary said he tasted some once when he was in Tennessee years ago and it burned like a son of a gun, must have been memorable to remember it all these years.

Makes me think of a sad old song (And he made fiddle strings of her long yellow hair ... he made fiddle screws of her long finger bones ... But the only tune that fiddle could play was oh the dreadful wind and rain ...)
