Five HandMade Minutes Slip-a-Peel

Looks like this is going to be a running series of shorts. (Hmmm... there's a joke somewhere in that last line, it's going to be bugging me all day long now...)

The heavy breathing right next to the camera doesn't help, but it does make you feel like you are right there.

Very nice! Love your stencils. Was the slip on these put on after they were leather hard? And then they were trimmed?

Hi Nick,
Lately I've been put the stencils on at a leather hard state after they have been trimmed so I can run the design all the way to the foot. Quite a lot of the time I leave cutting the interior of the foot until after the design has been slipped. This ensures that the foot stays finely resolved.

Ah, ok. Is there a difference between applying the slip to leatherhard, versus before when you would apply it right after it was thrown? Such as, do you notice the slip cracks/drys unevenly one way more, etc..
