Time to Move Along

Along with the winter rain comes my shift in mood. For 5 years it coincides with the drip, drip, drip of the studio roof and the slow flooding of the kiln room.

Old news...

This alone generally turns my mood glum as I'm forced to abandon my sanctuary, but this week my landlord informed me that she wants to renovate the house and needs us out. So it's time to pack up the cozy little studio and make a new go of it. I'm apprehensive to say the least, but in a very small, private way, I'm more than just a bit thrilled!

I have a new evil plan...

  1. New evil plans are always great. I contribute glum moods this time of year to what we call 'winter depression'... it's either the lack of sunshine or atmospheric pressure holding us down. Whatever it is, we like to blame all crankiness on it. Good luck in your new place, wherever it is. :)

  3. I was pushed out of my old studio (14 years) a while back. They did me a favor...change is good and it is often an opportunity to get things 'mo better' the next time!

  9. I agree. Change is good. And maybe this time you'll have a studio that doesn't flood. Yuck.

  12. Ah, the bad and the good of things. Yeah, blame it on the weather. My great day was turned to bleepity, bleep tonight so I'm feelin' your pain brother. And I would LOVE to finally do Davis this year but I think I will still be in North Carolina:( I was planning on NCECA too since it is so close but I chose to be on the other side of the country. Oh well, I can't have all the fun. I'm hoping the best for your move. And get out and soak up as much Vitamin D as the weather will allow.
