Hmmmmmmm...

I'm happy with the glaze, I like the iron brushwork, the form is what I like, but I love the Kiln Gods sense of humor.

A 7 bar in the kiln sitter dropped cone six in the center of the kiln (as seen above). The top and bottom of the kiln were at a good cone 5 and everything matured very nicely.

I can live with that... happy dance!

What a fabulous accident!

Too bad it's not strong enough to use as a handle!

Love that amber colored glaze, by the way. I need to come up with one like that for some of my "bamboo" design pieces.

a kiss is just a kiss--- that cone thought you should have added a handle to the cup!

That's what you get for asking about reusing cone packs, I guess. Put a big price on it; it might sell.

That may be the most intricate handle I've ever seen. You may be the most innovative potter EVER. I don't think I've ever seen a potter pull a cone handle. No, never that I recall.

Did you have to reach into the kiln while it was hot in order to pull the handle?

Is there some sort of special attaching slip that you use?

Did you have to wait for the cones to dry a bit after pulling them so's they wouldn't sag after attaching 'em?

I can see a whole series of workshops in your future. Every potter in America is going to want to know how to pull cone handles.

that is the coolest handle I've ever seen!!! It took me a minute to figure it out. Is it attached firmly enough to actually use? I think this would be the perfect french onion soup bowl, now can you do it again (or similar?)I know I'll be trying...

Don't you dare touch that jem! It's the kind of thing to make you smile years from now. If you ever consider crushing it, I WANT IT! What a fun little smirk from the kiln Gods!
*and the glaze is yummy...

Now, that's what I call a happy accident!

It's gonna fill in as an alternate for a few shows this year if it doesn't break first... it's way cooler than it looks too! It's really a poetic nose.
