I'm still sorting through and cleaning up works from the latest soda firing while I get caught-up with all of the gardening. There's a good amount of sell-able works, a few racers that I'll pull aside for summer exhibitions, and there is a fairly sizable number of losses. It's a fair trade for a first attempt at soda.
beautiful work! i'm intrigued by the surface of the lidded jar, it almost looks like it's peeling
ReplyDeleteYeah. It peeled back and then fused into a really comfortable surface texture. I love the effect, but I think I'll have to chalk that one up as a potter's pot though. It's probably a bit too interesting for most.
ReplyDeleteNo throw aways!!! Only refires. Refire them till they break!!!
ReplyDeleteBTW I still have two lidded jars. One is a refire and one is a racer. Have to get that to you somehow.
beautiful work... there's so much to know when it comes to ceramics...I have yet to try this method... :)
